An open letter to Microsoft.

Dear Microsoft,

My gamertag is excommodog.
I am currently awaiting my 4th Xbox 360 back from repair.
All have failed with the 3 flashing red lights (RROD).
The first console purchased Dec 06 lasted approx. 7 months.
It died and I got a replacement under warranty.

The second console lasted approx. 5 months
It died and I got a replacement under warranty.

The 3rd console lasted a total of 5 hours of use over a 2 week period and died while watching a video I purchased over xbox live.

I am getting tired of my Xbox 360 failing and losing access to all my games and digital media that I have purchased both in stores and online through xbox live...
I have well over 2 thousand dollars into the console, accessories, digital content and subscription purchases.

The console is stored in an open area with an average room temperature of 70 degrees.
I don't move it, set things on it or even touch it except to insert discs or plug in controllers.

There is an obvious problem with the design/hardware/cooling or whatever the causes of failure are for the first run of these consoles.

Please quit sending me replacements that we both know will fail again.

I am really surprised that there isn't a class action lawsuit for this yet.

I just want access to my purchased media and would like one of the newer, improved designed xbox consoles with the cooler running chipsets that won't fail.  The one that will allow me to enjoy the things I have purchased.

That is all I am asking for.
